Zach had just returned from playing college tennis in America for four years, and asked a mutual friend if they she knew of any "nice girls". This mutual friend said, "I think I know of one" and then somehow convinced Tara to go on a blind date - and the rest is history!

The Kooroomba Lavender Farm & Vineyard in the Scenic Rim was the first and only venue that Tara and Zach visited, and they instantly knew it was the one. The venue is the true definition of an all-in-one, boasting an open air chapel with vines twining around the columns to the rafters, an amazing vineyard facing the sunset for bridal portraits, and a winery reception.

"When you know, you know! And who wouldn't want to get married on a flower farm? We really wanted to have a super simplistic and timeless wedding with a few modern twists."

Tara walked down the aisle, arm-in-arm with her mother and father, to the live acoustics of the very talented Chloe Behrens. Tara found Chloe busking in the street and loved her music so much that she asked if she would play at her wedding!

FAVOURITE MOMENT

"My favourite part of the wedding was holding Zach’s hand while we walked out of the chapel in a shower of confetti and ringing the bell!!!"

CLASSIC STORIES FROM THE DAY

"On our way to the wedding, we were picked up by our family fiend Mick in his Monaro. As we were driving along the country roads in Boonah, Mick decided to give the car a bit of a rev. In doing so, the tulle decoration along the back window blew up and landed over my dad’s head like a veil. Had the whole car in tears it was too funny and a great way to take our minds off the nerves. We also found it so funny that my Grandad kept stealing the gifts off the table and opening them up and getting angry when he was told he couldn’t open them hahaha (he means well, just doesn’t really know what’s going on 😂🤣)"

PLANNING DURING A PANDEMIC

"We somehow managed to go ahead with every event of our wedding without rescheduling, however every weekend after a planned event (engagement party, hens etc.) we had a lock down. That didn’t go without stress though, the worrying that the event would even happen played hugely on our minds but made us so much more grateful for the day and the support system we have around us. My advice to brides would be the power of positive thought will help you see the good in not-so-good situations."

HoW WAS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE?

1000/10 – Elise, our photographer, is by far the best human you will ever meet. When I was on the hunt for vendors, I had messaged so many different people but just didn't feel quite right. I came across A'Daw Photography after I saw a friend's wedding photos. I sent her a message on Instagram and instantly, I got a vibe. She was so bubbly and happy to answer any questions. It was love at first message.

Elise was amazing to work with, always very open and easy to talk to. I loved all the follow-up emails, messages and energy she had towards our big day. Nothing was off limits - Elise was down to give anything a go. Our photos are beyond anything we could imagine. Elise has a real art working with clients’ good angles.

We would recommend Elise ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!
