Anyone who knows Alanah knows that her favourite movie is Pride & Prejudice. She knew it was true love when Cam agreed to watch the movie, then the miniseries and then read the book. All of Alanah's dreams came true on a wintry day in Kingaroy, as she wedded her very own Mr Darcy, then frolicked through a golden field of light as the sun went down. You'd be forgiven for thinking we were in Italy - country Australia is just as beautiful.

Like many couples, Alanah & Cameron's day was planned, then postponed as COVID restrictions hit across Australia. Not to be dissuaded, Alanah & Cameron completely threw their original plans out the window and rescheduled their whole wedding in just six weeks. They enjoyed an intimate reception at a family member's home, backlit by the biggest bonfire I've ever seen. Despite all the stress, the day turned out absolutely perfectly and it's up there in my top favourites - we just had so much fun the entire day, and I'm so excited to share it with you!

HoW WAS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE?

We loved working with Elise through every phase of the wedding planning! It was all hassle-free, she gave us a a lot of good advice about what do to and how to go about our timetable for the day. Our favourite part about working with Elise was how much fun it was! We really had a great time taking photos, and she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera.

We cannot get over how much we love our photos! We still look at them all the time and literally can’t pick a favourite. What stood out to us was the incredible quality of the photos, and how natural they are. They look very natural and very much what we wanted for our photos.

HOW DID COVID IMPACT YOUR WEDDING PLANNING?

We were meant to get married in May – but that changed pretty early on in the year when COVID really hit. We were disappointed, but decided to push our wedding to two weeks away in April. We actually managed to get everything sorted in a couple of days – Alanah even managed to change her wedding dress so she could have one off the rack. But that all went down the drain when we were put into lockdown.

We decided to just hold off on doing anything until we knew sort of where everything stood with restrictions. As soon as restrictions started to ease in June, we hopped straight back into planning and managed to put together our wedding in about six weeks. It turned out even better than we could imagine. We had to cut out list right down to about 40 people, and have the reception at Alanah’s uncle and aunty’s house, but it was honestly better than what we first planned. We even managed to get the original wedding dress back!

We have never been so stressed in our lives, but we managed to get through it and loved the outcome. My advice would be – take things as they come, and keep things simple. Things are going to happen at the moment that change your plans, but don’t let it dishearten you, and keep soldiering on, because the outcome is totally worth it. Our experience with Elise throughout the process was awesome! Elise was totally reliable and worked with us to create a truly magical day.
