Ramona and Blade are both lovers of the 50's and 60's style, and their Gatsby inspired wedding held a modern spin with lots of sentimental and memorable touches throughout the day.

The first time these two lovers met was when Blade invited Ramona to his Gatsby party on the Gold Coast. "We just clicked. He says his jaw dropped as soon as I knocked on his front door," Ramona says. A couple of years later, their wedding reception was held at the Barber Depot in Bundall - they very space where they first met.

"It's such a gorgeous venue and matched with the theme we were going for. We wanted it to be relaxed."

As their wedding was being held during Winter, the couple also wanted a venue that was indoors and out of the weather. As luck would have it, there was a steady drizzle throughout the day but the rain held out just long enough for portraits at Syd Duncan Park, with a gorgeous fog settling over the mountains in a spot that was just as memorable to the bride and groom.

"My favourite detail about the day would be the spot we chose for photos. Wow! It was a perfect day for it. Blade's parents got married in that exact spot and he also proposed to me there which made it pretty special. He wrote me a paragraph and read it out to me then got on one knee and opened the box - the ring was gorgeous the way the sun hit it. I couldn't have been happier and we had a picnic after with crackers, cheese and champagne.

Congratulations Blade and Ramona on such a beautiful day and I wish you both all the happiness in the world.
